Daytime trainers are not waterproof, they are great for haning out around the house.   If there is an accident there is enough abosrbency so that the floor won't get all wet.   They are made from cotton or polyeseter knits for the prints and cotton knit against the skin.  Two layers of microfiber are added to the wetzone to catch any accidents.
